Law Professor

Prior to graduating from Suffolk University Law School, Kevin earned a master’s degree in mass communications from Boston University.  He put that degree to work as a journalist, political communications professional, and advertising copywriter. Although his legal career took a different path, Kevin has always been interested in media law, especially libel and matters of public concern.  That is one of the reasons why he so thoroughly enjoyed his time as an Adjunct Professor at Boston-area colleges.  One of the other reasons is the many fine students he met and had the privilege of teaching, some of whom went on to explore legal careers of their own. Attorney Gillis was an Adjunct Professor from 2015-2019 at Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts. He developed the curriculum for, and taught, Communication Law, Philosophy of Law, and Entertainment Law. He was also an Adjunct Professor from 2014-2018 at Newbury College in Brookline, Massachusetts.  He developed the curriculum for, and taught, Media Law and Ethics, and Constitutional Law. He became a Certified Online Instructor in 2017.
