President, The Law Office of Kevin F. Gillis, Esq., 1997-2020

     Founded law office that focused on insurance subrogation and coverage analysis, litigation, torts, worker’s compensation, products liability, personal injury, and construction defects, as well as defense of Jones Act and other maritime injury and death claims. The firm started by handling thousands of auto subrogation cases, and evolved into a leading law firm in property insurance subrogation, recovering millions of dollars for clients in fire, flood, third-party contribution, and other casualty matters. Over the years, under Attorney Gillis’s supervision, the law firm grew to employ a dozen associate attorneys, paralegals and other support staff; clients included national and regional insurance companies; Attorney Gillis has participated in many district and superior court civil trials, arbitrations, administrative hearings, mediations, and conciliations; Attorney Gillis has also written two insurance policies used by a large fishing vessel cooperative insurance program and provided complex coverage analysis and opinions to numerous insurers.
